Windhoek – The National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia – NAMCOR announced the opening
of its first site in Gobabis, Omaheke Region on Friday, 28 April 2023, this brings the total number
of NAMCOR retail sites in the country to sixteen, to date NAMCOR is present in ten of the major
regions in Namibia.
The site is strategically located on the corner of the B6 main road and the turn- off to the town’s
Epako residential area. The site will serve the residence of Gobabis, the surrounding agricultural
community, and travellers to and from Botswana and South Africa.
Acting Executive Sales & Marketing Ms. Olivia Dunaiski reaffirmed NAMCOR’s commitment to the
implementation of its fuel retail strategy. “The company gets into mutually benefitting
commercial partnerships with businesspeople and community members to set up sites that not
only provide an alternative choice to customers, but value to all”.
The National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia – NAMCOR is the legally enacted entity under
the Namibian Companies Act of 1973 with the Government of the Republic of Namibia as its
primary stakeholder. Acting under the Petroleum (Exploration and Production) Act of 1991,
NAMCOR has the mandate to carry our reconnaissance, exploration, and production operations.
