Marine services company Bourbon Logistics has been awarded a fully integrated logistics contract to support an exploration campaign offshore Namibia.

The six-month contract was awarded by an unnamed oil and gas major and will involve drilling the company’s first well off the coast of southern Namibia. The scope of the contract will cover the entire supply chain of the project, including freight forwarding, logistics base services and marine services. Bourbon Logistics will support international shipment and customs clearance of equipment for the exploration campaign, as well as base management and associated services.

Additionally, Bourbon Logistics will provide three platform supply vessels: the Bourbon DiamondBourbon Ruby and Bourbon Topaz. The campaign will be supported by the company’s in-house data management system, which will facilitate end-to-end operational planning, execution and control.

“This new contract confirms Bourbon Logistics’ expertise and recognition by major oil and gas operators to bring increasingly comprehensive services to its clients, in their most ambitious projects,” said Bourbon Logistics Managing Director, Nicolas Chateau.
