TotalEnergies EP Namibia B.V. (TEEPNA), together with its Joint Venture (JV) partners – Impact Oil & Gas, NAMCOR NAMIBIA, and QatarEnergy – has initiated public engagement sessions as part of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) process for the proposed development of the offshore Venus field.
These sessions are being conducted in line with Namibian environmental regulations and mark a key step in the scoping phase of the ESIA. The engagements aim to inform and involve communities by sharing details of the proposed project and offering a platform for the public to raise questions, voice concerns, and provide valuable input.
The first round of public engagement activities includes open house sessions and formal public meetings, with walk-in discussions and presentations followed by Q&A sessions. These are scheduled in various towns across the country, creating accessible opportunities for all stakeholders to participate.
This initiative underscores the JV partners’ commitment to transparency, community involvement, and sustainable development as Namibia progresses in the offshore energy sector.
